A full-blown SUV down to the finest details.

Classic SUV design elements contrast interestingly with the fully digital Widescreen Display to highlight the off-road character of the new GLS. These include extensive open-pore wood trim, striking angular air vents and, most conspicuously, the grab handles on the centre console. The front seats feature structured upholstery in typical SUV style to further emphasize the vehicle's off-road credentials.

MBUX voice control system
The art of voicing your wishes. Now in the new GLS, too.
It takes just two little words from you - "Hey, Mercedes" - to activate the intelligent natural-speech LINGUATRONIC voice control system, which understands almost every word you speak and can even handle indirect language. The air conditioning will respond to "I feel cold" by setting a higher temperature, for example.

Head-up Display
The head-up display projects information directly into your field of vision.
The optional head-up display allows you to keep your eye on all important information at all times in the new GLS. This is made possible by projecting a roughly 24 x 8 cm image into your natural field of vision which appears to hover around two metres above the bonnet. This means your attention remains focussed on the traffic at all times.
